A solid fuel stove installation must comply with the relevant Building Regulations. This covers more than simply connecting a stove, including requirements around the chimney or flue, ventilation, hearth and the way the appliance is installed.
As a HETAS registered installer, Stovesman can self-certify qualifying installation work and provide the appropriate certification when the installation is complete.
A general builder may be able to physically install a stove for less, but if they cannot self-certify the work, Building Control may need to be involved separately. You should also make sure you have the documentation required by your home insurer.
Ask who will certify the finished stove installation and whether that is included in the price.
