The Vermont Defiant gives you the best of both worlds—designed to be used with the doors open (when installed with an 8” flue liner and spark guard) or closed, so you can enjoy either the open-fire feel or the efficiency of a closed stove.

It’s as practical as it is charming. You can load it from the top or front, whichever suits you best, and the top plate doubles as a cooking surface—perfect for simmering a kettle or keeping food warm. Built with ease in mind, it features automatic thermostatic control to maintain a steady heat, a large ashpan that swings out for simple emptying, and an airwash system to help keep the glass clean.

The Defiant Two-in-One also comes with a removable catalyser, making servicing straightforward while improving efficiency. Styled with classic 19th-century Vermont design, it blends timeless looks with modern performance.
