I had a wood burner fitted by Stoves Man Ltd & his team in April of this year. Within a few months we had to change the fire surround because the original one was not suitable – Stoves Man Ltd priced me up for a new fire surround & it was duly fitted. On lighting the fire for the first time there was a loud crack & it turned out that the back plate of the fire surround had cracked & a small piece of the fire place had come away. I had informed Stoves Man Ltd on several occasions & he came to see it last Monday 15/10 & told me he had been in touch with the manufacturer & a complaint had been raised. The reason I have rated Stoves Man with 1star is his after sales is absolutely non existent as I have no idea when this damaged fire surround is going to be replaced or repaired as on the last occasion I spoke to him he did say he would try & get this replaced on Saturday 20th October well this has date has come & gone so goodness knows when or whether my fire surround will ever be repaired/replaced.I do understand that he is getting busier as the winter draws in but at the moment I am definately NOT a satisfied customer of Stoves Man Ltd. I am very disappointed with Stoves Man Ltd because his work is first class but this has left me with the fact that he just does not care about his customers after his work has been completed & he just does not communicate with me as to how this is going to be rectified to my satisfaction & I have to keep contacting him to find out what is happening. Please note all this is factual & now following on from my first review I have now received a text from Stoves man Ltd informing me that to change the back panel of the fire I will have to pay him £300 for his team to replace the cracked panel & on condition that I remove this review. I am not prepared to change this review as I have said before this is all factual.
